FAQ - What the heck is going on here anyways?

Where do these products come from?  Do you make them??

The majority of the products on this site come from other businesses that are linked to Shopify.  I tried my best to focus on small businesses, femme/women owned, BIPOC, LGBTQI, and/or neurodivergent owned.  I'll continuously add products that I select as time goes on and I get linked to more shops that I admire.

Each product is handled and shipped by the individual manufacturer. 

How do you make money from this?

Any profit that I make is essentially a "cut" of what the maker makes.  So, for example, say I list a candle for $5.  The maker of that candle agreed to "sell it" to me for $4.  So, if I sell it from my site, I make a profit of $1.  Generally the margin is very small.

So, are these products made BY therapists?

Some of them!  There are some books, worksheets/workbooks, and some t-shirts designed and made by therapists.  I would LOVE to have that increase.  I know so many therapists who have some beautiful creative energy, and I'd love to support them on this site!

What about if I need a refund, or if there's a problem?  How does that work?

Hopefully there won't be a problem, as all of these products are from verified and trusted Shopify shops.  But, if there is:

Refund Policy

We want you to love your purchase from The Therapist Nest! If you're not completely satisfied, here's how our refund process works:

Returns & Exchanges

  • You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return or exchange
  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition with tags attached
  • Custom or personalized items cannot be returned unless defective

How to Request a Return Contact us at hello@arielshumakertherapy.com with your order number and reason for return. We'll provide you with return instructions and our return address.

Refund Processing

  • Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund within 5-7 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
  • Please allow 5-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution

Return Shipping

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we made an error
  • We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we cannot guarantee receipt of returned items

Damaged or Defective Items If you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We'll arrange a replacement or full refund at no cost to you.
